IBEW Local 77’s Gala
Hosted by Local 77’s Women’s Committee
The IBEW Local 77 Gala is a cornerstone event that reflects our deep commitment to taking care of our own. In past years, we proudly supported the UW Burn Center at Harborview—raising $15,000 in 2018, $30,000 in 2019, and $40,000 in 2023. Those efforts made a meaningful impact, and we remain proud of that partnership.
In recent years, we have brought that mission even closer to home by dedicating the Gala proceeds to the IBEW Local 77 Benevolent Fund. This means that every dollar raised goes directly to supporting our members and their families—those who have been injured on the job, as well as the families of those who have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep the lights on in our communities.
In 2025, with the incredible support of our members, sister locals, and industry partners, we raised an outstanding $72,000. That generosity proved just how strong this Brotherhood and Sisterhood truly is.
This year, that mission has taken on an even deeper meaning. We tragically lost 7th Step Apprentice Ivan Garcia in a workplace accident. Because of the foundation built by this Gala and the continued support from across the 9th District, we were able to immediately stand with Ivan’s family—providing financial support and continuing to raise funds in his honor. It is a powerful reminder of why this work matters. When one of our own falls, we come together.
The electrical industry carries real risks, and through this event, we aim to provide a tangible expression of our gratitude and unwavering support. The Gala Benefit is an opportunity for all of us to stand united and ensure that the individuals who power our communities—and their families—are never alone in their time of need.
We look forward to another incredible evening of community, generosity, and purpose. Attending or sponsoring the Gala is more than just a night out—it’s a direct investment in the well-being of the IBEW Local 77 family.
